Designed to honor my grandmother and mother who embody the qualities of courage and devotion espoused by Hanuman, and in respect of the handloom silk signifying freedom and liberty for all. Dating back to the 1920s, the handloom fabric and my grandmother who wore it, both exemplified simplicity and service, and then passed these traits along with the sari to my mother who gifted them to me to encourage my first batik creation and to fulfill her dream.
